How to start an HYIP

July 15th, 2006

HYIP or High Yield Investment Program is an investment business, or a money-game… or whatever you called it. Most of them use e-gold for transaction. It just because e-gold can protect your identity. So the HYIP Admin or investor will still annonym, to avoid any tax (And a negative….. can scam your money easily).

Basicly, the purpose of HYIP is pooling people’s money into one basket, then they will “do something” to develop it. Do something means, they can do forex trading, oil investment, real estate, etc. But, 99,9% of them just run a ponzi scheme.

You can find “what is HYIP” on the internet. Lot of websites provide it. The places which usually i come to read HYIP stuff are Talkgold Forum, MoneyMakerGroup, and HYIPDiscussion.

In this article, i’ll share about how to setup an HYIP. In this case, a real investment, not a ponzi scheme.

1) Find an investment opportunity. You need this to raise the investment. You can do forex trading, gold trading, oil, obligation, property, etc. At least, you must have at least one stable source.

2) Find a great anti-ddos hosting. Prolexic is recommended for anti-ddos, but it is expensive. Cheapest package costs more than 3000$/mo. For hosting, you can go with a dedicated server. My experience said, Rackspace is one of the best in this business. I think rackspace also have anti-ddos protection. So you don’t need to pay additional 3000$/mo for a 3rd party anti-ddos solution.

3) Make a stable and safe script. I’m sure nobody want to invest in a program which have only static page at their website.

4) If your HYIP is a public one, you must prepare around k$ for promotion. Buy banner here and there. But don’t do spam. Spamming will only put a black ink at your business.

5) Make a money-management plan. When you forward your investor fund to the basket, how much % can you give to the investor, how about withdrawal fee, etc etc.

6) After everything is ready, launch the website, follow it by some promotions and ads. So investor know your business, and can consider your program as their investment channel.

For serious investor, here are some tips to avoid a ponzi scheme program. Just some tips… and i don’t give any guarantee.
1) Avoid any program that just have 1$ minimum spend.
2) The “normal” investment will give you around 10%-20% monthly. If you found 200% after 2 days. You should do a deep investigation. Really bullshit if someone can offer 200% after 2 days and consistent doing that for several months.
3) Look where did they hosted. A 1$/mo hosting is a scammer place.
4) Look their website. Scammer website always look bad. But i don’t say good website is not made by scammer :D
5) Discuss with another investor. Share your information with them. Find something that you don’t know and don’t forget, give something that they don’t know about a program.

That is only the basic. Although a program has passed 5 criterias above, still don’t guarantee it is not a ponzi scheme. So beware before you put your money at a program :)

Good Luck :D
